They either couldn't find a parasitic draw on my battery or refused to do so, so I would keep bringing my vehicle back. I was there 3 times before I told them I wouldn't pay for them to do work they had told me they already did, and clearly had not. I took my vehicle to another mechanic and it was done in an hour. I've never had another problem with it. They'll tell you to fix things that don't need fixing too. They're dirty thieves. DON'T GO HERE.
4/15/21 I've completed my research on your concerns Thomas. To summarize: You did return to the shop 5 times over a 3 1/2 month period, but not for battery concerns. You asked us to perform other safety repairs and maintenance services, and then a NYS Inspection. During that span of time there was no further battery concern reported to us. All communications with you, verbal and text, were cordial and positive. As for your belief that we perform unnecessary repairs, I'm sorry you feel that way. All of our vehicle recommendations are supported by photos, videos, and detailed tech notes provided to customers. In your case, there were 2 Vehicle Check-Up reports completed by 2 different techs - a quick count showed there were at least 16 photos and 2 videos. Whether work is done or not is completely up to the customer. We just provide the info. In early September you presented your vehicle for battery not holding a charge. At that visit the tests showed that the alternator and battery were operating as they should and that the small parasitic drain was within the Ford specs (vehicles today have a lot of parasitic draw that is normal, and Ford is our number one vehicle we service). Vehicle was kept overnight and re-tested in the am, state of charge on battery was good - no "repairs" found to be necessary at that time, vehicle started just fine. In late December you reported a dead battery. We found that the battery would not charge and the tech notes reported there was now a "massive" power drain - one suspected source of drain was the device you had plugged into diagnostic port, possible internal failure. The battery was bad. You requested that we replace the battery for you, at no charge; however it was not purchased/installed by our shop, and we suggested you contact that vendor for warranty. You were not billed for this re-check and testing. Should you wish to review any more details, please feel free to speak with the Office Manager, Tina, at 665-2501 x112. 4/14/21 I thank you Thomas for your feedback. What customers think is very important to us! I personally promise that I will check into your experience and respond to you within 2-3 business days. Sincerely, Ronda Whitford, Owner
